the story so far

In March 2010 in a 14,000 sq ft warehouse in Decoy, Newton Abbot, Jim Mardell had a vision to create a locally owned drinks company that could respond quickly to customer needs and deliver an outstanding service with the minimum of fuss.

 

Locally sourced ales, ciders, water and soft drinks now form an important strand of the business. Agreements based on good old fashioned values have been cemented by a hand shake celebrated with a glass or two! These partnerships drive sales and are genuinely designed to protect local jobs and create value within the community we serve. Two great examples are: Devon Coast IPA and Devon Red Cider which have both seen significant sales growth for Red Rock brewery, Bishopsteignton and Sandford Orchards Cider Company, Crediton.

 

Wines continue to be at the heart of the company's product portfolio combining a mixture of exclusive labels, classics, funky unusual styles and boutique wines. By forming a close relationship with a European Wine Bottler we have unlocked the capability to source 'Tolchards Exclusive' labels from all leading wine producing countries.

 

We now have over 350 customers which has given us great confidence that the company can compete with the mainly 'national' owned competitors by providing unrivalled service levels:

We launch our new promotional brochure in September which will includes offers on many best selling brands with an extended portfolio of cask ales.
